		<description>Thanks, Ezra. It&#039;s interesting what you say about the lack of connection between neighborhoods in LA. (I always wonder how similar LA and Atlanta are.) 

You could say the same for Atlanta. Downtown, Midtown, Virginia-Highlands, Grant Park, etc are all eminently walkable but when you need to go to a different neighborhood, you may not be able to do so on public transportation and so you&#039;re stuck with your car.</description>

LA is full of great walkable neighborhoods, and in many of them people actually do walk.  the problem is getting from one neighborhood to another... btw, fix your date format -- it&#039;s currently set European style, showing the day then the month.  this is america, dammit, and we put the month first: 7/12/09</description>
